R. Madhavan’s new social drama “Hisaab Barabar”, produced by Jio Studios and SP Cinecorp is set to premiere at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Directed by Ashwni Dhir, the film combines humor and emotion to highlight the serious issue of financial fraud. The story follows Radhe Mohan Sharma, a diligent railway ticket checker who notices a small error in his bank account.
What seems minor soon leads him to uncover a major bank scam led by a powerful banker, Micky Mehta. As Radhe digs deeper, he not only faces corruption but also realizes that life’s challenges can’t always be solved like a math problem.
Kirti Kulhari also stars in a key role, as the film explores themes of justice, integrity, and the cost of fighting for the truth.
Madhavan describes “Hisaab Barabar” as more than just a fight against corruption, saying it’s about “facing personal flaws and understanding that justice isn’t always simple”.
Director Ashwni Dhir adds that the movie is a powerful reflection on truth and deception in today’s world. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Sharad Patel, and Shreyanshi Patel, “Hisaab Barabar” is expected to make a strong impact at IFFI 2024, sparking discussions on the fight for what’s right.
